Go to a workstation where a user has a working local profile.

Right click on "My Computer" and select properties
Select the advanced tab
Select User Profiles
Select the user
Select "Copy To"
Browse to the location up on your server where you have designated the
location for the user
Select the "Change" button on the "Permitted to Use" option and put the
user's id in here

Repoint the gpo to this location and try again

Thanks Paul,

Sorry, I am not an MCSE. I did what you suggessted. When I got to the part of:
Browse to the location up on your server where you have designated the
location for the user

I was not able to find the path that I expected to see:
\\server\users$\username\

What I found were these SYSVOL folders. So instead of browsing I decided to
type the path (\\server\users$\username\). Then I continued with the
Change/Permitted to use step you mentioned. After pressing OK I got a message
saying that it cannot write because this path already exists.

Any suggestions?? or suggestions of where I should focus my efforts??

Hear from you soon.

sorbec
