Yet another stupid icon question!??

Yea, I thought this was an easy fix... but I was wrong.

While I was speed clicking, I somehow dragged the 'Show Desktop' application
icon out of the quick launch tooltray onto my desktop. While trying to return
it, all I can do is send 'shortcut' icons back to the tooltray and the
application icon remains on my desktop, not a safe place for me.

If I delete the desktop icon, the shortcut cannot find the file. I can push
the icon off the edge of the screen, but I want to fix this the right way.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm sure by now this is a blindfold answer for most
of you.
Thanks in advance for your time and response. I'll try to have a Real
question next time.

Cheers and regards,
Jeff (EMDFL9)

drag and drop (by clicking and holding the button then moving the mouse) the
icon from the desktop onto the quick launch toolbar

Thanks for answering Steve,
I tried that first but the icon remained and only shorcuts were being
dragged back to the the tool tray. The application icon remained inplace on
my desktop.

I too, thought this was an easy fix...

Try dragging with the right mouse button, when you release it it will give a
small menu with Move Here as an option

OK Steve!
Your the Man!
Yet again, I thank you for your help. I must learn to slow down a little and
let the computer do its popup bubble thing showing just what you said. My
desktop is back to normal now.
I promise to have a much more challenging question next time.
Cheers,
Jeff (EMDFL9)
