yEnc Add-in for Outlook Express

J

Joseph Ferraro

I am looking for an add-in that will allow Outlook Express to process yEnc
files. I have Newsrover 10, but to be honest I don't like the software and
prefer (go figure) OE.

I realize that this may not be the correct newsgroup; but there does not
appear to be one specifically for Outlook Express. Please accept my
apologies.

Thanks in advance.

What you mean is "I couldn't be arsed to search for a specific OE newsgroup,
so I just picked a dozen at random" Try actually *LOOKING* next time -
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress.

Please accept my apologies.

What for? Being lazy?

Why not try Free Agent from www.forteinc.com, and if you like it move up to
the full featured Agent; it does automatic joining as well as decoding of
yEnc, and you can tell it to show only complete multipart files, which saves
much time trying to count individual file segments.

I use yProxy with my OE and it works great.......

I, for one thing, hate having multiple programs installed on my system that
can do the same things, so since I use OE as my mail client I also want to
use it as my newsreader, and since Yenc is so popular now, and microsoft has
not seen fit to enclude a add on for it yet, HINT HINT, yProxy makes my
dream come true...
