True enough, witness the fact that AV technology effectively
forced the creation of poly- and meta- morphing viruses.
There would be no need for this if not for the competition,
and the suboptimization is evident in the increasing resources
used by AV to just keep up, in the form of emulation code.

Does anyone have any idea how much longer these damn "Security Attachment
Virus" will be going around.
I deleted another 140 this morning. Fortunately, Norton is doing a great
job of checking the mail for me.

Add Windoze users to that list as well.
And Apple started off catering to the masses but got stuck with people
who only know the first capital letter of the alphabet. A is for?
