Yahama AC-XG

Hello,

I have some problems with the sound that would like you
to help.
I have recovered my computer a few days ago. After
recovering it, I go to the Windows update to download all
necessary updates. Yet, after getting these updates, I
discovered that my computer did not have any sound when I
use the window media player. There wasn't any sound at
all.
Then, I went to check it out in the control panel and
discovered that there was no sound device. Yet, there
should have as I had been using my computer with sound.
Later, I check the Yamaha AC-XG in the control panel but
it did not have any response.

Until now, I remembered that when I downloaded the
windows update, there was a warnng from my computer that
there was some problem with the application compatiblity
in the Yamaha AC-XG. There was also a program recommeded
in the windows update asking me to download in order to
run some programs.

I don't know how can I solve this problem. As I tried to
download this recommended program, there is also a
warning message from the computer that the program is
incompatible with the computer and it may cause serious
damage to my computer.

So, I would like to ask how can I solve this problem. I
extremely appreciate your help. Thanks.

Right click on My Computer and select Properties.

From the Hardware Tab, click on Device Manager. Scroll down to Sound, Video
and Game Controllers and click on the + to expand the tree.

At the bottom of the list, should be the entry for the Yamaha Audio Codec.
Doubleclick on it.

Go to the third tab... Driver.

On the fourth button down.... Roll Back Driver.... Click on it to restore
the previous driver.

It will probably ask to restart the PC when its done. Once restarted, the
sound should be back.
