XP's Stability

I must say that I am not really impressed with this all
new singing and dancing XP operating system. My XP has
been installed for only a month and half, and already, if
I want to simply empty the recycle bin, it crashes the
whole system, including the kernel (this brings back
memories). So much for applications not directly
controlling the kernel.

Can anyone help please, is there something I can do to
rectify this problem. At the moment, my 98 SE days are
coming back when I simply have to turn off the PC,
without shutting down, because the damn thing has
completely frozen.

Sounds like a case of the man who can't dance claiming that the band doesn't
know how to play.

Sounds like YOU'RE playing the old "Blame-The-Victim" game so typical of a

Really.... I'm sorry, all this time I thought it was a
Windows problem, when in fact it was actually my fault
because I don't know how to empty the recycle bin. Well
naughty me.

So right clicking on the recycle bin and selecting "empty
the recycle bin", I guess, is the wrong way to do.

Do you have any other method for emptying the recycle bin
without the system freezing, or is it actually a case of
you don't know what you are talking about, and don't have
any relevant suggestions as to what maybe causing this
problem. You don't work for Microsoft do you?

How is right clicking on the recycle bin and
selecting "empty the recycle bin", followed by the system
completely freezing, the user's fault?
