Hi
What problem did you have to make you re-install XP in the first place?
Have a look at the following articles by MVP Michael Stevens:
"How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install"
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
"Clean Install Windows XP"

| Will,
| I can't take any diagnostic action while I'm stuck in this
| Setup loop. When I reboot/turnoff/on I go to back into setup,
| and fail again.
| Start mode won't run, with message "Can't run Start mode in
| Setup".
| How do I kill the Setup process. Then I can work on
| diagnosing what's causing the problem
| Any help would be appreciated
| Thanks
