XPPro Networking Problems

Bill

I have a network with 1 XP Pro, 1 Windows 98, and 1 XP
Home system. Nothing will talk to the XP Pro system and
the XP Pro system sees none of the other computers. The
other two computers talk to each other just fine. They
see the XPPro system but cannot talk to it.

All are part of the same workgroup.

Any solutions??

Greetings Bill,

Make sure the XP's firewall is disabled. It will block file and sharing by
default. If you installed any third party firewalls make sure it isn't
blocking access between the machines. Ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP on all
machines.

How do I know if XP's firewall is on? If it were on, how do I disable it. I
know, it's a dumb question, but the books I read were non too clear about
this firewall!
