XP2 Installation

I tried to download the XP2 update. In the middle of the installation, it
failed and backed out the installation. I've noticed in my Add/Remove
Programs area there are alot of Hotfixes for XP2. Should I remove these
before downloading again?

No - when the installation fails, nothing gets installed. What you are
seeing are security updates that you previously downloaded from Windows
Update.

Follow the instructions in these articles from Microsoft, then try SP 2
again:
