xp won't go online thru W2K pro server

I can't get my windows xp puter to get on the internet
thru my w2k pro server. i'v ried everything I can think
of. I can print & share files between the 2 puters just
fine. please, I need help.

More info please. How are you connected to the Internet?
Broadband? Dialup? Router Type and setup? Is it on a
Domain or Workgroup?

Are you sharing the Internet Connection? If so, have you
activated ICS iaw Microsoft Knowledge Base Article -
234815?

Connected thru dialup. Intel 100mbps router & network
cards. It is a workgroup, MSHOME. I do have the interne
connection shared. I tried a proxy server & set up like
the read me file said but that didn't work. I have tried
going in & manually setting the IP addresses & subnet
masks but that didn't work either. I have the printer set
up on W2K puter & the xp prints to that just fine. I can
download files on the W2k puter & transfer them onto the
xp puter also. just can browse internet.
