XP user profile

My boss has been using his laptop by logging onto his
local machine and has customized his desktop
accordingly. I just added his computer to our domain and
had to create a new user on his computer so now instead
of logging onto the local computer account he logs onto
the account on the domain, thus he doesn't have access to
his local desktop settings.

How can I log him onto the domain but keep his local
machine desktop/profile settings?

tks,
steve

Log on the local PC as the administrator. Use system propertis, advanced,
user profiles. Copy his local user profile to the domain user profile.

The roaming user profile settings get saved on the server from any local
profile settings that are changed when the user logs out of the system. If
the user doesn't change any settings, then the server copy dosen't get
updated.
