XP to Win NT server Logon Issue

Our new XP can log into the network, but it won't run the logon script. I
thought that the script was on the server, and that each Win98 machine ran it
from there when they logged into the server. The XP replacement apparently
is not doing that, since the Drive Mapping that is supposed to occur does
not. I tried setting the XP to "always wait" and to "run logon scripts
synchronously" but to no effect. Any suggestions? P.S. - we are not IT
personnel, just businesmen trying to upgrade equipment. Please lead us like
the blind mice that we are!

First, a clarification. We are going through a hub to a server running NT
4.0. Second, thank you for the reply, but could you say again (with
instructions) in English? As indicated, we are not IT professionals. I have
no idea how to do what you suggested. Thanks!
