XP Start up

When starting Xp it tries to boot up but just sits there. After a few minutes
it closes out and tries to boot up again. It will not start up in Safe Mode
either. Any suggestions

I am having a very similar problem.

XP Pro - 1GB RAM SATA etc NW Client 4.91

PC boots up and asks for login, then imediately shuts down
It goes thru the proper windows startup then does a proper windows
shutdown.

Does the same thing in safe mode.

Thanks for any tips or ideas about what to do.

Repair install?
Hook it to another PC? Then what?

Worked fine for about a week then all of a sudden came in today and
this.

From what I have ben told I need the OEM of XP to do a repair. Any ideae
where to get a copy
