XP SP2 wireless network speed

I have an HP Pavillion ze5470us laptop with a builtin
Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN card running driver 3.70.12.0
with driver date 6/2/2004.

I just installed XP Pro SP2, and now the card will only
connect at 11 Mbps. Prior to installing SP2, the card
had no problem running at 54 Mbps.

Any idea of a fix?

Thanks

Download a new WLAN card driver, uninstall the existing one,
then reinstall the driver.

OK, but my driver seems to be a higher number and a better fit than the one
on the HP website. I went there first when I had a problem.

Thanks.

Linda:

Besides ignoring Testy and his idiotic remarks, you should be aware
that SP-2 is going to break some applications and probably require the
issuance of new drivers for certain hardware. It's really up to HP to
make sure their driver is compatible with SP-2. HP has had enough
time during the beta to do that.

Also, in regards to your question about Norton Security and NAV, there
will be an update posted to the Symantec web site in the next few
days. You might want to check in with them every so often to see if
it's available for download.
