XP Slow to boot: where can I download BootVis.exe ?

S

Stuart

Windows XP Professional is taking a long time to boot (1 min +) and I
want to find out where the bottleneck is.

There used to be a Microsoft tool call BootVis.exe, but this is no
longer available from the MS site.

What is my best approach to troubleshoot a slow boot ?

Thanks,

Stuart

Not in this case, though. This site below states 'The Bootvis.exe tool
is no longer available from this site'.

Any more ideas ?

by the way, Micro$oft pulled it because it's a "developers" tool. No
guarantee it won't hose your
system. Use with caution.
