XP shutting down by itself

All of a sudden in the last few days, Windows Xp has been
shutting down on me by itself.

I will be playing a game or surfing the web when a popup
box appears saying:

System Shutdown
This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY|SYSTEM
Windows must restart because Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Service terminated unexpectedly.

Does anyone have any clue why this has all of a sudden
started happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I have also tried using the System Restore and that
has not seemed to help

**** You need to make sure you have a FIREWALL enabled ****

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: FIREWALL , and hit enter.
Click on the topic titled "Enable or Disable Internet Connection Firewall".
