XP Service Pack 2

The DVD/CD burner will no longer work after I installed
the lates service pack.

The burner is: Sony DRU 530-A

I was in touch with Sony and went through all the
settings, drivers and firmware. I downloaded and installed
the most current firmware and software.

The burner will not work. It worked before Service Pack 2.
Any ideas?

Remove the drive in Device Manager. Reboot and let it be reidentified.
