No supported dvd-recorders were detected on system

I have a Memorex DVD16+/-DL4RWnD2 i.e 16X16 Dual Format Internal burner.
Keep getting error message in subject line. I've installed latest firmware
from memorex site. I'm running Xp home with service pack 2. Have a Intel
Celeron 2.13 GHZ processor. I can burn cd's on the DVD burner but not DVD's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have tried using both Roxio EZ CD creator 5 and PrimoDVD 2.0. I downloaded
an update from Roxio to allow for DVD burning

Firstly whether you selected the type of disk, CD or DVD? are you sure that
you have enabled the DVD button in burn program?

DVD recording is not a built in function of Windows XP.

CD Creator 5 is NOT wholly compatible with Windows XP and your newer DVD
recorder is not likely listed in it's database as being a compatible
recorder.

Get the latest version of Roxio Easy Media Creator.

You might just try one or the other burning app on it's own, ie.. uninstall
one completely, your call.. Burning apps tend to load their own drivers, more
than one burning app can cause problems in the windows registry..
