XP Search cannot search for ANY file in My Documents. When I type "*.*" in
the search box, Search says there are no such files. (Obviously, there should
be some files). Search works in other folders.
Here are my settings:
1. indexing service is on; C: is authorized to index files
2. I checked "Standard" search behavior in the Search Preferences
3. I'm looking at My Documents ("Look in:" box)
4. Unspecified Modified Date
5. Unspecified File Size
6. "Search system folders" checked
7. "Search hidden files and folders" checked
8. "Search subfolders" checked
9. "Search tape back-up" unchecked
10. "Case-sensitive" unchecked
11. "Hide extensions for known file types" unchecked
12. "Show hidden files and folders" checked.
Is there a way to fix this problem?
Thanks!
