XP + Samba Browser problem

Can someone point me to in the right direction.. I have batch of 30 XP
workstations setup to use Samba server but not part part of AD or PDC..
I used to see the all the worksations in the workgroup.

But suddenly I cannot see any of the wrorkstations in any of the workgroups
around the campus from XP but able to see the workstaions from WIN98 in the
Network nieghrbourhood.. but I am able to map a drive to the samba server.

Is there a way of checking if XP worksations are not setup as Master
Browsers so that they are not fighting each other over election of browser.

I am not sue if there is master browser in the Domain., but I was told that
the samba server was upgraded to V3 and since then I have lost the
workgroups on the XP side. Any help appreciated.

Regards

Faiz

Don't know about your setup, but in my setup, I had to turnoff my
SAMBA server from becoming the "Master Browser", in the smb.conf
file - suggest you do a "man samba" or "man smb.conf" on your *ix
machine for the proper location/syntax for your version of Samba.
