XP RESTARTS AFTER OPENING CERTAIN PROGRAMS

Ok, this is really bothering me. Everytime i try to open Itunes, it
automatially shuts down. So i went and turned off the "Auto-Shutdown" option,
and it gave me the BSOD from after i restarted and tried to open itunes again.

I copied down the hex or watever that stuff is. Here it is:

STOP: 0x00000050 (0xBB9EA29E, 0x00000000, 0x80580A1C, 0x00000002)

i really hope i copied it right.

Specs of comp:

3.4 Gigahertz Pentium 4 processor
2 Gigs of ram, i think corsair brand.
500 W Power
3 Fans
Windows XP SP2
NVidia GEForce 6600 w/256 mgs of ram.
And the temperature on my LCD for the comp reads 80 Degrees Ferenheit at
this moment.

Another thing happens sometimes when i try to close UT 2004, it also shuts
down the computer, but only sometimes. I hear the sound repeating like it
froze, then it shuts down.

Please help!!!

i dont think this is the problem, thanx tho, i can see y u thought that. I
didnt see ne randomly named file, neither did i see the Msdup.exe file or the
other one. Even though my problem is very similar to the one that you
propsed, sadly, im pretty sure thats not it.

I think this may be another problem.

And im really not sure what it is. This error has only occured for 2
programs which are:

Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition (when exiting sometimes)
Itunes 7 (When opening)

Thank you for reading again, and i hope you come up with something!

i think the code was cx000002, something like that.

I just got this computer 4 weeks ago, and i cant understand how i got this

I also found out today that Itunes doesnt give me a BSOD in safe mode, but
it does when out of safe mode. So i really need help here. i will reinstall
the progs and wipe the registry of them, but if ther are still problems, this
will suck.

Thx again.
