xp repair console

I have a bad install of xp pro. I am trying to get into the repai
console, and it is asking for administrator password. There is n
password. I do not have and never will use a password.. I am the onl
one using this computer.. I want to know how to get past this...
need thi.. It is the only way I want to try my fix for this problem..
Is there a way to bypass the administrator password.. I had a corrupte
install and want to do a repair. Or at least see if I can fix my mbr o
chkdsk /r etc. Please help.. ANd don't tell me to just hit enter fo
the password. THat does not work... Thanks in advanc

Have you tried leaving the password blank?

Sounds like you are a victim of this installation tool. You can get in by
using the floppy disk set to start the Recovery Console.

Home edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33290

Professional edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33291

You will need 6 floppies and a machine to create them on. Then boot the
affected system with them.
