XP reading of RAM

B

Brian

I have 1x128 & 1x256 RAM installed on my computer.

Dos reads 384 RAM,
System Properties reads 384 RAM

But in Help and Support - My computer Information - it Reads 64MB
In Help and Support - detailed system info - System Summary - reads:
Total Physical Memory 64MB
Available Physical Memory 134.01MB
Total Virtual Memory 1.27GB
Available Virtual Memory 856.65MB
Page File Space 921.90MB

What I would like to confirm is, is Windows XP using all of my installed
memory or just the 64MB and reading the rest as a page file?

Thanks for your time

Brian

Brian, if System Properties is reading 384 Ram I wouldnt worry about it.
You could check in System Monitor to see
what your page file and actual memory is doing in real time. Just rt click
on Task Bar select Task Manager>Performance.
