XP Pro things not running on XPE

I have a client with an XPE image running on a VIA board using Sean's
FullXPPro macro. The system uses HORM.
Some things that work properly on the same system using XP Pro don't work as
such on the XPE image.

eg A USB video capture device has some errant behavour under XPE but works
fine under XP Pro.
eg2 A Netgear USB WiFi device installs and runs OK using XP Pro but won't
install using XPE.

Any ideas?

1. Can you provide a little more information on what you mean by errant
behavour?
2. What fails with the USB WiFi installer? Does the installer fail to run?
or is there something going on during the install process?

- We installed a DLINK PCI wireless card on teh XPE system (not an image
rebuild). This worked OK so that specific problem is solved.

- WRT the Netgear USB WiFi device, the message from the client was:

- Using FastVDO USB video capture device
On XP Pro can suspend/hibernate OK.
With XPE the capture app has to be running to do same

Yes it works with XP Pro.
In XP Embedded, when I try to manually update the driver from device
manager, it says "The Device cannot be enabled" (Code 22).
