XP prints to wrong printer!

I had a network printer and a local printer installed on
my XP Pro box. With the local LPT1 printer set as
default, all documents print to the Network Printer. I
uninstalled the network printer, removed drivers using the
Server Properties tab from the printer menu, and reboot.
Despite having no Network Printer installed, ALL
documents still print to the Network Printer!!!

Are there drivers hidden somewhere that I am not aware of?
I have an older model HP4 Plus laser jet - is there
possibly a compatibility problem with older HP drivers
and XP?

Is it possible you redirected the lpt1 output to the network printer ?
Try to open a Command Prompt and type "NET USE"

If a redirection is active, you can disable it typing "NET USE LPT1 /D"
