XP Office Standard problem

Rich

Hi, Can't figure this one out.

Whenever I open Internet Explorer or Outlook, I get a
message that says Please wait while windows configures
Microsoft office XP Standard. Then I get another window
that says the feature you are trying to use is on a cd rom
or other removable disc that is not available. Insert
Microsoft Office XP Standard disc and click ok. I cancel
that and get an error 1706: Setup cannot find required
files. check connection to network, or cd rom drive. If I
cancel that Ie comes up and it works fine, It's just that
it always opens to a Micr. Home Search page. Don't think
it is spyware. Have run Spybot search and destroy a number
of times. Any ideas?
