I just recently purchased a Sony VAIO with Windows XP Media Center
edition running.
I like the interface that the PVR has to record live TV, but I want to
record some of the programs I watched to DVD without the commercials
that were recorded also. I looked on my Meadia Center interface, and
the only record to DVD program was "ClicktoDVD", and this program
records the whole thing to DVD, without letting you edit the videos.
My VAIO also came pre-installed wtih Adobe Premiere SE, but this
program doesn't recognize the Media Center PVR file type (.dvr-ms).
Is there any program out there that I can use to either convert this
file into an .mpeg (.mpg), .avi, or other easily editable file type, or
a program that can edit these file types directly, so I don't have to
sit and fast forward through commercials on my DVD that I make?
