XP machines in a windows 2000 server enviroment.

Hi,

I want to beable to push out a group policy in a workgroup
environment. I have a windows 2000 server with updated XP
adm files. I have the administrator password to the XP
machines set to the same as the server. When I try to
connect to the XP machines I get permission denied access
messages. Doint the same thing to windows 2000 pro
machines work fine. I also need to be able to remotely
modify registry setting on the XP machines. Any help would
be appreciated.

The only problem being I have two XP machines that do
work. They have be modified ..... In some fashion and
without any documentation. :-(
