XP Logon domain shows (Windows 2000)

On XP logging into a 2003 server, the domain box shows our domain name
followed by (Windows 2000)

Have googled to no avail.....

What does this mean?

How do I get it back to displaying just the domain like all the other
machines!

I am not sure exactly what you are talking about but you might try logging
on as a local administrator, unjoining the computer from the domain,
rebooting, join the domain again, and reboot again to see what
ppens. --- Steve
