XP installation issue

I'm installing Windows XP on newly formatted hardrive
using the Windows XP booting discs. The first error we
encountered was ...setup cannot find the End User
Licensing Agreement. This was solved by re-formatting the
hardrive using the formatting tools within the setup
program. Teh setup has stalled again, this time the
message is

Teh following value in the .SIF file used by Setup is
corrupted or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section [SourceDisksFiles] with the
key "SP1.cab."

Setup cannot continue

Does anybody have any suggestions?

You need to download the updated setup disks. The ones you are using are for
the original release of Windows XP and it appears you are trying to use them
with a newer SP1 installation CD. You can find them here:

Will your system not boot from the CD-ROM drive? This would be a much better
way of doing it as you could skip the floppy disks altogether. You might
have to change a setting in your bios to make the CD the first boot device.
