XP IE6 "This page cannot be displayed"

I unfortunately ended up with Incredifind on my computer which completely
stopped IE6 from browsing. I followed some detailed steps found on the net
to remove Incredifind, and now I am unable to open webpages with IE.

I still get my mail, and was able to install Netscape so that I can still
browse, but am unable to restore or repair IE6.

I reinstalled XP both using repair and reinstall with no luck. I was able
to install XP on a different partition, and it works fine there, but don't
really want to continue this way.

I uninstalled IE5 using REGEDIT and then reinstalled it, but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
