Repair IE6?

Running Win XP SP2 with IE6.

My IE6 is very slow and jittery. I tried IE7. It is faster than my IE6 but I
prefer the appearance and layout of IE6.

Is there any way I can run a repair of IE6 to restore it to its original
condition?

I did a repair install of Win XP SP2 but it did not affect the deficiencies
in my IE6.

Uninstalling IE7 via Add/Remove Programs will automatically return the
machine to IE6. Once you've done so...

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use (in
conjuction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
