Hi,
I need help!
Blibber, blibber.
Windows XP networking has just about driven me to
destraction.
I have two computers on a hub, neither can ping the other
but the XP home machine can see the Win Me machine
in "Network Places" -> "View Workgroup Computers" but I
get an error message saying path not found if I then try
accessing the WinMe machine across the network, I've done
the Network Troubleshooter, I've checked my firewall
settings, I spoken to microsoft (even their stumped -
supposed to be calling me back!) I've uninstalled the lot
and tried again (both machines) I'm using Me on the one
machine cos it's just to old/slow to upgrade further, but
that shouldn't stop me from networking to it! Is it
something to do with the type of Authentication that the
network is using, what should they be set to? Everything
worked fine while both machines ran WinMe so what gives?
Someone please help.
