Greetings, I am not wanting to keep subscribing to Norton any longer. I have
both Internet Security 05 and Norton Utilities. I am trying to find out what
I need to do to gain = or greater security w/o Norton. I have Adaware,
Spybot Search&Destroy, MS Antispyware (just did), and of course there is a
firewall I can turn on in the Win Security Center. I am the main user of
this system and need it to be secure but cannot afford to renew $40.00 as I
have a rare virus and a single parent...etc...wont bore u with the rest of my
sad tale <laughing> Please help me with instructions to ease the
changeover... As above I did download MS Anti spyware. As soon as I post
this, I will enable the Win Security Firewall. Thank you in advance! GJ

GJ added info an hour later....ok i do have NIS and Norton Utilities is part
of Norton System Works. I have MS Phishing, Firewall, & Pop Up Blocker
turned on. I turned off Norton: Firewall, Outbound Training, Ad blocking, &
Pop up Blocking. I cleared Norton Allowed & Blocked Lists. I removed the
Norton Disk Doctor & 1Button Checkup Scheduled events. I left the Norton
Anti Spam, Anti Virus, Email Scanning, Intrusion Detection, Privacy Control
(is this like MS Phishing?), Auto-Protect, & Live Update on as I am unsure if
i am protected w/o these. Please note that I have email going into my MS
Outlook 03 directly via POP (this means what do I use instead of the Norton
Email Scanning above that I already have or can secure w/o cost). I hope
this update is making sense! I just might be getting rummy after being up
all day and now night....peace to all, GJ
