XP Home : How to remove instalation ballon at task bar ?

M

Mr. Low

Hi,

I have been trying to installed the folowing security updates for many
times, but failed. I am using genuine XP Home.

Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB956828)
Security Update for Microsoft Excel Viewer 2003 (KB958434)
Security Update for Microsoft Word Viewer 2003 (KB956366)
Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB958439)

Despite the installation failure, the MS Window Update ballon(Yellow Spade
with a black ! on it) still remains at the task bar.

May I know if there is a way to remove it ?

Also can I remove the instalation reminder at the Start Button > Turn Off
PC ?

Thanks

Low
