XP Home & Epson Color 777 printer

My computer was upgraded to XP from ME not long ago. I
am printing Xmas cards and the printer seems to be out of
ink as the red light is flashing. I've tried taking out
the cartridges, shaking and replacing with no results.
The cartridges are not that old. Rarely would both be
empty/

My question is: Version ME gave me the status of the
amount of ink remaining in both black and color
cartridges. That grapic is no longer evident nor can I
find any reference to the ink levels in Help. Is there
anyway to know if my black cartridge is empty or color is
empty?

check with epson.com for interface program for ink levels.
you might need new printer driver also.

package for your particular model printer.
