The screen shows the background picture, nothing else,
then it Hangs up. It will continue only after I alt-ctrl-
del and delete unwise.exe from processes three times.
What can I do to fix this and what is unwise.exe.

Unwise.exe is usually an uninstallation program. Go into Safe Mode by
repeatedly tapping F8 as the computer is starting up. Then go to
Start>Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes. Look on the Startup
tab and disable anything that looks like the unlikely culprit. Also,
what does a scan with a current antivirus program (meaning a version
not earlier than 2002 and using updated virus definitions) show? You
can do this in Safe Mode.

Post back if you need more help, including what you've already done to
troubleshoot the problem.
