XP hanging at startup

Whenever I start up my PC, i keep getting the screen
saying that Windows did not start normally, and when I
pick it to run in safe mode with the prompt, it stops
running once it encounters the file Mup.sys

I tried reinstalling XP, but whenever it comes to the
point that its loading the Windows files, I get the error
regarding ntkrnlmp.dll. From your support site, the
instructions were to press F7 when the prompt to 'install
third party Raid/SCSI drivers' shows up, but the computer
doesn't seem to recognize when I press F7.

No, I meant the instructions at the Knowledge Base said
that when it prompted to press F6, press F7 to bypass the
ACPI process...

And unfortunately, there's only one hard drive.
