Hi All,
Where can i get detailed information on the Boot sequence for XP Embedded.
Which process starts FBA(BIOS?), What is the difference between Pre and Post
FBA boot.

Thanks & Regards
Roshan.

There are two areas to this:

1. The low level start-up boot sequence that Windows XP and XPe follows.
Inside Windows or MSDN has the information from POST to loading the kernel.
2. Once the kernel loads, FBA is kicked off and it follows a "Phase"
Sequence to finish the build process. I have some of the information in my
Windows XPe Supplemental Toolkit. There should be a slide from a prior MEDC
event that has this information as well. The online help also has some
information on the phases.

Roshan,

The topic about FBA phases is pretty detailed in XPe documentation:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms912927.aspx

There was also an arcticle written about FBA since RTM:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa459151.aspx.

And, obviously, you may want to read a bit more about XP boot process.
Google is your friend here. E.g., briefly
http://www.compphix.com/xpbootprocess.html.
ANd much more details you will find here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/reskit/c29621675.mspx
(this nice article is very detail in many aspects of XP startup process)
