xp creating "its own" users

shane

I have xp pro on a few machines. Two of them are creating
new users when a user logs in - eg "denis" logs in and no
longer sees his icons etc, however when we go to the
documents and settings a new user has been created
called "denis.000" or "denis.absentees" and the next time
he logs in it creates yet another user
called "denis.001". He is using the same login and
password at all times. This has happened on two machines.
We run using a Novell network platform and all machines
have the same novell client. We have about 15 machines
running xp and only two have this problem. Any ideas
would be much appreciated

This is the exact scenario you may be facing:

Creating new user profile from control panel should resolve the problem.
