XP automatically restart after change monitor

Could anybody help? My computer keeps automatically
restarts after changed my CRT monitor to Viewsonic LCD
VG700. windows error message says it's caused by a
device driver, from blue screen death message, it seems a
trid3d.dll file - a Trident video driver caused problem.
I can't find the updated driver from Trident website.
should I change driver/video adapter? what should I do?

The video driver information is bellow:

driver or check with manufacturer for driver updates.
Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates.
Disable BIOS memory options suh as caching or shadowing.

If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable
components, restart your computer, press F8 to select
advanced startup options, then select safe mode.

It's most likely a conflict between the LCD monitor drivers and the video
card driver. Try to update both. I had a similar prob when I first got my
LCD. If updating both does not help, you may need to get a new video card or
another kind of lcd. My ati and samsung lcd seem to work good together. I've
seen where the updated drivers just didn't jive and nothing would make them
go except getting a new video card. Updating the bios is always an option as
well, especially if your video card is agp. Good luck.

Make sure your old monitor is deleted from the Device Manager.
..

Make sure the new monitor is listed in device manager, If not use add new
hardware to add your new monitor.
