XP activation

The C drive on my XP HE machine failed last December. At the time I also had
a 2nd Seagate HD, but have had to replace that also. I've also added a USB 2
card to the machine.

I'm now thinking of formatting the C drive - will the hardware changes
affect my XP activation? This will be the 3rd time in a short space of time,
too.

Many thanks,
Jake

Greetings --

There's no limit to the number of times you can reinstall and
activate the same WinXP license on the same PC. Nor is there ever a
charge. If it's been more than 120 days since you last activated
that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to activate via
the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you might have to
make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:

If you are going to format and reinstall XP you will have to reactivate. No
problem, just a short toll free phone call.
