Help Req. with activation problem

Hello,

I have had to upate Windows XP Pro numberous time due to some sort of
"error creep" taht seems to occur.

My question is, I've paid for the program, and I have rgistered it - but,
due to the endless problems that require me to "repair" teh install over
and over and over, I have had to register over and over and over.

My hardware has not changed all that radically - the big bugaboo seems to
be my SOundB;aster Audigy4 hardware, for reasons I can't fathom no matter
how much I look through the TRegistry, search online, and so on.

Every time I try to re-register now, I get grief because I've had to do so
"too often".

Please, is there *any* way to preserve the registration/activation data? I
already learned (the hard way) that the so-called "backup" functrion does
*not* backup what si really *necessary*, i.e., the activation/registration
data, the registry, settings, etc., so I know that the "backup" function is
useless. I've lost both time and clients due to this nonsense...any
help/clues would be very welcome.

THanks in Advance!

A tool such as Acronis True Image would be a better backup / image solution
I have to say if you are suffering endless problems with a specific system,
something is radically wrong with that system, IMO
