For those drawn to redhat5.1 as their OS of choice but not the cost, see XOS/Linux. It's rock solid and it's free..

Hi Ady, Boinc is a terminal job to install as per, http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/ReleaseNotes. For the noob, prolly a Linux with Boinc repository be more suitable but this one does HPC clustering out of the box for those feeling adventurous. All the usual apps are there and the thing is very stable..
