X800XL the best AGP card?

I cant afford to switchover to PCI-E yet, but I need to replace my AGP
card. newegg has a $250 gigabyte AGP X800XL with VIVO and HDTV out. Is
this the best I can get without paying $400 ? Is it better than an
X800Pro ? Thanks

I'm in the exact same boat, and if you aren't brand loyal this could be
your best bet. It was my choice:

Had both cards and the XL is better, faster and cheaper than a X800pro. My
pro just couldn't keep up with it. 16 pipelines ARE better than 12. Next
to the X850XT/PE AGP cards the X800XL is the best deal in town if your
sticken with your AGP setup for any length of time. imho

I went from a AGP 9800Pro AIW
to the x800xl -- which IS better than the Pro
and I haven't looked back for a second.

I just got a tad foolish and bought the x800xl as a refurb ( I be so PO'! ) but it
is a higher end card than the pro. I was very impressed by the graphics I saw in
games. I think $250 is a really good price for new... mine cost $205. Needs a
larger cooler than the original ATI one, more cost. Excellent card tho...
