WXP changes date on files when copying files to cd.

Can anyone tell me how I can preserve the dates on files when writing files
to a CD with Windows XP Home Ed.
Whenever I copy files to a CD for backup purposes, all the dates are changed
to the current date. Other software seems to preserve the original dates
but I would prefer to just use the window drag and drop system.

Not with the inbuilt burning system, That works by making a copy of
the files to its holding area, so as far as explorer is concerned these
are new files in that location, created now
