Wrong icon on Office filetypes

Hi,

I first installed StarOffice 7, then I installed Office2003. Now all
Office filetypes (including .doc) are associated with StarOffice
icons.

Where do I found appropriate the Office2003 icons?
(I'm running XP Pro SP 1 operating system)

Best regards, Ola

Hi,

Sorry Suzanne and Graham, re-registering Word didn't work: I've still
the Star Office icons and the StarOffice programs are still associated
with the MS Office filetypes. The latter is of course easy to fix
manually, but the icons is harder: I don't know in which Office file
the Office icons are contained. I've searched for file type 'Icon' but
none of these contains the appropriate Office icons (e.g. the 'Word'
icon for the .doc files).

Any further help is very appreciated!

Best regards, Ola

PS. Yes, I ran the re-registering from the same Windows user as I
installed StarOfffice from.

I suspect the deafult icons are operating system and word version dependent.
With Word 2003/WindowsXP they are chosen from a file called wordicon.exe in
a sub folder of c:\windows\installer. The icons are however contained in the
exe file of the application, ie for Word, this would be winword.exe and you
can select from there.
