Other windows users have not been able to open my documents in the wps format. What format shoud I be using? Prior to my current system, with XP, I had the milinium edition and it did the same thing. My fix was to use my laptop from work.

Save files you want to share as RTF, any word processor will
open those.

Wps is a word Processor document from Microsoft Works. No version of
Windows comes with it (nor with any half way proper word processor).
Those using Microsoft Word (installed a part of MS Office) ought to be
able to open a Works file - but may need to install a converter which
has been left out of their Setup. But no 'bare' copy of windows will do
anything with it
