worm virus "Blaster" Error

I am still getting the affects of the worm that came out
last week or so. I think it was the blaster worm.
Anyway when I run the fix either from microsoft.com or
from a program that my wife downloaded from her work, I
get the message "Setup could not verify the integrity
of the file update .Inf. Make sure the cryptographic
service is running on this computer." The problem is: I
don't know what the heck it is talking about. Can anyone
out there help me out. Thanks in advance.

Click Start, Run and enter REGSVR32 WINTRUST.DLL Then try the udpate
again. If it still fails, copy the following commands into a Notepad file
and save it with a BAT (batch file) extension. Double click the BAT file
you saved to run it.

net start cryptsvc
regsvr32 softpub.dll /s
regsvr32 wintrust.dll /s
regsvr32 initpki.dll /s
regsvr32 dssenh.dll /s
regsvr32 rsaenh.dll /s
regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll /s
