Word97 - Research Notes Organization

Is there any way to organize research notes usefully in Word 97? I'm
hoping for something like a notecard system that would allow keyword
references to individual notecards. I don't want to have to search for a
previous notecard to enter more information. I just want to be able to
type or paste tidbits of knowledge, apply keywords, then later search by
keywords to pull up all cards I've entered with those keywords. I'd then
want to be able to drag notes around from one card to another to better
organize them into a coherent, logical structure.

Am I asking too much from Word 97?

Thanks,
Damaeus

G'day Damaeus <[email protected]>,

Outline view comes very close to what you are asking for. I find it
invaluable for this sort of structuring. Just keyword a heading above
the notes in Heading 4, when you start to see lots of like keywords,
group them under H3, H2 or H1 until you have something resembling a
final structure.
